Ezrael visits the Best Coast

This last week has been a blur! Even before Ez proposed last Friday, we were doing so much… trying to make the most of his short time here.

Southern California is a great place for lovers. There is so much to do, so many new experiences you can share together–soaking up SoulCal with the one you love makes the traffic more bearable.

Of course we had to visit a silly little Teddy Bear first. He was looking mighty handsome with his new bearcut.  We spent the earlier part of July 4th with a couple of Ez’s pledgebros: TJ and Josh. Lunch at Bruxie and drinks at Yardhouse. Then we parted ways for our holiday celebrations. We watched fireworks at my sister’s house in Montclair, which had a great view of the show happening at the Claremont Colleges. It was probably the longest fireworks show I’ve ever seen! And we were SO close. It was nice to spend time with my family.

Thursday was filled with adventures, which started off at the Rancho Santa Ana Botanical Gardens. It was nice to take a nature walk and see butterflies up close in the Butterfly Pavilion. On our way to LA, we grabbed some peach black tea with grass jelly at Ozero in Alhambra. We experienced Levitated Mass at LACMA together, which was quite a sight. More foodie adventures included dessert at Milk and a snack at Lemonade (quirky LA names, of course). It was an exhausting day and we definitely passed out from food coma, only to awaken to more food! We had a Nu Class triple date of sorts at Wurstkuche in Venice, which has amazing “German” sausages. Topped off the night at a bowling alley. The boys won our Boys vs. Girls competition… I guess us ladies can’t have beauty AND bowling skills.
